Goes to Miami
| |
First
stop: Monty's for a drink in an incredible island atmosphere.
| |
Our
gracious host set us up in the Dadeland Marriott.
| |

This
sand castle was HUGE! It is built on South Beach. |
We
are told that the artists work for months on these, and people come from
all around to see them. |
| |
An
evening walk around the South Beach area took us past Jackie Gleason
Theater...so THAT's where it is. |
| |
Well,
this is the place...the location of the gig that sets the mark for all
others. |
| |
...Getting
set up |
| |
The
party had a Mardi Gras theme...which was a cover for a surprise birthday
party...pretty cool, huh? The guests treated us like celebreties,
our host treated us like family. Gotta love it. |
| |
The
band is set up and ready to go. |
| |
OK,
so Cliff is proud of his drums, OK, is THAT so wrong? |
| |
Talk
about a great place for a band, no? |
| |
And
another pic of the party area. |
| |
What
do you do when you have a couple hours to kill before showtime?
ORDER PIZZA!!! Here we find the band having lunch with our
host. Well, at least most of the band is here. The pretty one
was keeping the birthday girl busy. (Cliff is taking the picture and
seen as a reflection in the glass). |
| |
Anthony
and Bob drove the gear in this truck from New Orleans to
Miami...no we did not bring the boat; it was there already. |
| |
Sadly,
all good things must come to an end, so we stopped at the airport bar to
make the trip home more enjoyable. |
| |
This
guy was very entertaining. There's nothing like hearing someone sing
Jimmy Buffett to wrap up a trip to Paradise. |
| |
From
IVY to our host, we say a sincere THANK YOU for such a great time!! |
